Shampooing or Steam Cleaning of Interiors
You must decide first whether your car needs to be Steam Cleaned or just Shampooed.
If some food, vomit, fish or some other yucky substance has spilled in your car you should definitely steam clean it (With the exception of Blood, blood should be cleaned using the steam extractor but with cold water)
If it is just a small spot cleaning you can use an all purpose cleaner and scrub the spot till its gone.
If it's a larger area you can spray cleaning solution on fabric then scrub the surface with a med soft brush. When the area is thoroughly scrubbed, you can vacuum the soap out with a wet dry vacuum. Personally I prefer to have the interior Steam Cleaned.
Steam Cleaning
When I steam clean I prefer to pre spray fabric with soap, remove any over spray with a rag or a damp clean chamois, scrub any stains with a brush, and then extract dirt and soap with the extractor (when cleaning work in patches over lapping every stroke by at least 50 percent and over lap each patch 10 percent ). When you have the whole area sufficiently clean go over it once more with only the vacuum to get as much water out as possible. Then once again remove any over spray with a rag or a damp clean chamois. Allow the interior to dry for 4 hours with the windows open to increase air flow. Also you can use fans or blowers to help drying.
